Job summary

Merit Chevrolet Co. is seeking a part-time front desk professional to join our dealership team. The role covers Sales, Parts, Service and Body Shop, with evening hours from 2:00pm to 8:00pm Monday through Thursday, 2:00-6:00pm Friday, and alternating Saturdays.

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills.
Experience using Microsoft Office suite.
Organized and able to follow directions.
Cash Handling Experience.
Ability to work effectively with customers, vendors and employees while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must be willing to submit to a drug screen & background check.

Responsibilities

Operate switchboard telephone system.
Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time customers spend on hold.
Provide basic information to callers who have general inquiries.
Scanning of documents from the various departments.
Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received.
Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employees.
Update spreadsheets as needed.
Document License Plate and fuel transactions.
Assist with making sales folders.
Assist Controller with any misc office duties.
