Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Quality Control Technician for Fremont, CA. The role performs chemical, physical, and instrumental testing of materials and products, validating methods, and managing data in WinLIMS.

You’ll follow SOPs, collaborate with Quality, Production, and R&D, and help troubleshoot testing issues in a busy lab setting. The position is contract-to-hire, onsite in Fremont, with a 2 PM–10:30 PM shift.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
• Experience in quality control and analytical testing in lab or production setting.
• Familiarity with analytical instruments (FTIR, SPG, RI) and data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, physical, and instrumental testing on raw materials, in-process, finished, and customer product samples.
• Conduct functional testing to verify product performance when needed.
• Follow SOPs and SOPs to ensure testing consistency and compliance.
• Validate analytical methods and assist in troubleshooting to maintain accuracy.
• Log and review laboratory data in WinLIMS or similar systems.
