Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living LLC in Colorado Springs seeks a Part-time QMAP/Caregiver to administer and document prescribed medications under supervision. The role supports resident care in the PM shift, Friday and Saturday, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and compassionate service.

The candidate should have CO QMAP certification, First Aid, and at least a high school diploma, with preference for three years in senior living. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• QMAP certification in CO and First Aid as required by ALF regulations.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years’ experience in senior living preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document medications per MAR under the Wellness Director.
• Order meds from the pharmacy to ensure availability.
• Document medications after administration and initial the MAR.
• Observe and report medication reactions or side effects to the licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs prior to administration when required.
• Administer PRN medications as prescribed.
• Report medication errors immediately to the Wellness Director.
• Keep medication cart clean, stocked, locked, and secure.
• Assist with development and review of residents’ care plans.
• Respect residents’ privacy, dignity, and safety.
• Assist with daily care tasks (toileting, grooming, feeding, etc.).
