Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Nurse II at Terrell State Hospital to provide comprehensive nursing care under supervision. The role includes assessment, planning, intervention, and documentation across shifts, ensuring continuity of care and patient safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating staffing, teaching patients, and implementing physician orders while maintaining high standards of nursing practice and regulatory compliance.

Formación

• Licensed to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Texas.
• At least six (6) months of experience as a practicing registered nurse is required.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assess health/mental status on admission/transfer and document care.
• Provide direct nursing care and carry out medical staff orders.
• Coordinate staffing and patient care activities on assigned units.
• Ensure 24-hour continuity of care with supervision and collaboration.
• Teach patients about medications and treatments.
