Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with hospital experience or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy course and PCT certification eligible with hospital experience.
• BLS/Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates NYU Langone Core Values in duties.
• Protects patient confidentiality and rights.
• Assists in data collection for Quality and Performance Improvement.
• Support nurses in patient care tasks and safety of supplies/equipment.
• Participates in orientation and mandatory education for PCTs.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff.
