Job summary

Butterball, LLC is seeking a Production & Manufacturing Operations leader to guide day-to-day plant activities in Ozark, AR. Lead a team of entry-level workers and supervisors while ensuring safety, quality, and USDA/HACCP compliance.

Drive continuous improvement through lean practices and BOSS-based initiatives. You will oversee labor usage, equipment, and process changes, participate in HR activities, and monitor KPIs to improve yields and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role.
• 2+ years of leadership experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role.
• Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, SOP/SSOP requirements; or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day activities of a team of entry level individual contributors and/or supervisors.
• Ensures team understands and follows safety policies and procedures; conducts routine safety and quality audits.
• Serves as a role model and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines (USDA, OSHA, DOL, EEOC, HACCP).
• Promotes process improvement and lean manufacturing; oversees budgeting and cost improvements.
• Monitors KPIs such as safety, efficiency, waste, downtime, and labor costs to drive improvements.
