Mason Street Grill, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, seeks a PM Prep Cook in downtown Milwaukee to support evening culinary operations by preparing ingredients and items per recipes and standards. You will ensure proper stocking, maintain sanitation, and assist with urgent tasks to meet dinner service demands.

The role requires prior cooking experience (3+ years preferred) and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. High school diploma preferred; union Local 122 wage is $21.84 per hour.

Formación

• Previous cooking experience required, a minimum of 3 years in a similar position preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare ingredients and food items according to recipes, prep lists, and standards.
• Complete daily prep tasks to ensure readiness for dinner service.
• Wash, cut, portion, marinate, and prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, and sauces.
• Follow recipes and portion specs to maintain consistency and quality.
• Label, date, store, rotate, and organize all prep items per FIFO and food-safety rules.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and sanitation throughout the shift.
• Communicate prep levels and shortages to chefs and line cooks.
• Keep prep stations and storage areas clean and stocked.
• Operate knives, slicers, mixers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Minimize food waste through proper prep and portioning.
• Assist culinary team during busy periods and special events.
