Qualifications

• Experience with pre-analytical processing and specimen handling.
• Ability to register patient information accurately in lab systems.
• Familiarity with laboratory workflows and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receives specimens from inpatient and outpatient locations via couriers or pneumatic tube.
• Registers patient information into HIS and logs orders for testing.
• Prioritizes stat/urgent specimens and ensures specimen integrity during delays.
• Tracks and verifies specimen receipt, prepares samples for transport to testing areas.
• answers telephone calls with test results, requirements, and reference information.
• Assists with pre-analytical processing including centrifugation and storage of samples.
