Job summary

Qualifications

• RN licensure and three years RN experience in medical/surgical, pediatric or maternal/child health.

Responsibilities

• Staffs a telephone service line while collaborating with staff and other health care providers.
• Obtains and documents a complete history with calm, reassuring interaction.
• Uses computer for live data collection and documentation, and communicates with callers.
• Manages relationships with individuals and departments inside and outside the ministry structure.
• Evaluates, plans and implements patient care plans within nursing standards and guidelines.
• May guide treatment advice for the public and health care providers.
• May utilize live chat and texting to assist callers with poison information.
