Qualifications

• Must be able to cover 15-20 minutes from home office and arrange own transportation to shifts.
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
• Knowledge of the equipment used in therapy work.
• Ability to observe, evaluate, and record conditions, reactions, and changes in patients' physical condition.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under the supervision of a Doctor of Physical Therapy and/or Occupational Therapy.
• Help treat patients by preparing heat and ice packs; paraffin dips; assist patients to the pool; guiding patients to exercise equipment and monitoring motion.
• Ensure operation of treatment equipment by completing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
• Prepare patients for therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing, and assisting into sessions.
• Provide information to patients by answering questions and requests; allaying fears.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
• Provide equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering to the treatment area and positioning for therapist access.
• Prepare the treatment room for patients by following procedures and protocols.
• Answer calls from physician offices, hospitals, and patients with exemplary customer service.
• Maintain supplies inventory and assist with scheduling front desk duties as needed.
• Perform other front desk duties and assignments as required.
