Prime Healthcare Services in Olympia Fields is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician to perform skin puncture or venipuncture across all ages for laboratory analysis. Under supervision, you will handle data entry, sample processing across microbiology, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, and blood bank, and assist with specimen referral.

The role requires phlebotomy certification, high school diploma, BLS within 45 days, and one year of clinical lab experience

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of formal phlebotomy training or equivalent on-the-job training with documented competency.
• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages.
• Enter data and handle clerical tasks.
• Demonstrate proper phlebotomy technique and use of equipment.
• Process specimens across multiple departments (microbiology, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, blood bank).
• Stock and order routine supplies; maintain storage areas.
• Handle specimens for referral to reference laboratories.
• May assist with pickup and delivery of samples and other support tasks.
• May work multiple departments or night shifts.
• May serve as Phlebotomy Lead as delegated by management.
• Other tasks as assigned by department manager/director.
