Job summary

The position supports various specimen handling tasks and may involve travel to off-site locations for phlebotomy collections within the Concord site as needed.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training with externship preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to clients professionally and compassionately.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment; handle emergent/crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and processes venous and capillary blood samples from patients of all ages.
• Processes clinical specimens for delivery to laboratory departments or reference laboratories.
• Performs duties within assigned work blocks and adheres to requirements.
• Assists in preventative maintenance and disinfection in the Specimen Processing area.
• Concord Site only: travels to off-site locations for phlebotomy collections.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
