Job summary

Concord Hospital in Concord, NH is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist for a full-time evening shift (1 PM–9:30 PM) with weekend rotation. Under the supervision of the Laboratory Non-Technical Supervisor, you will perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages and ensure proper collection and specimen handling for laboratory analysis.

You will also prepare specimens for transport, assist with processing and disinfection in the specimen area, and travel to off-site collection sites as

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Phlebotomy training with externship preferred.
Phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Ability to perform in emergent or crisis situations.

Responsibilities

Obtains and processes venous and capillary blood samples from patients of all ages.
Processes clinical specimens for delivery to laboratory departments and reference laboratories.
Performs duties within assigned work blocks and complies with requirements.
Assists in maintenance and disinfection within the Specimen Processing area.
Concord Site only: travels to off-site locations for phlebotomy collections.
Performs other duties as assigned.
