Job summary

Pima Medical Institute's Phoenix campus is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician Instructor to teach in the evenings. You will lead adult learners through hands-on lab instruction, demonstrations, and lectures to prepare them for field success.

The role emphasizes mentoring, classroom management, and coordinating with campus partners to support student outcomes, with on-site duties and a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Phlebotomy Technician program recognized by USDE or CHEA, OR four years of job-related training in phlebotomy.
• Minimum of three years of practical experience as a Phlebotomist or in a related healthcare field.
• Active license, certification, or designation in phlebotomy as required by local, state, or federal laws.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; basic computer proficiency with MS Office or Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Delivery & Classroom Management: Design and deliver engaging lesson plans and teach using diverse methods.
• Hands-On Demonstration: Instruct students in clinical labs, venipuncture, specimen handling, and safety.
• Evaluation & Feedback: Grade coursework and lab competencies within 72 hours.
