Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Dearborn, MI, working Monday to Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM with rotational weekends. The role involves collecting specimens, processing samples, and verifying orders using lab systems.

Responsibilities include data entry, billing entry when required, and maintaining logs. English communication is required, with preferred phlebotomy certification and related medical training.

Qualifications

• The candidate must communicate effectively in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens per established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client information.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, preparing for transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
