Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Phlebotomist/Central Processing Tech for our Medical Center. This part-time role offers an evening or night schedule, approximately 20 hours per week, with a pay differential for evening/night shifts.

Under supervision of the laboratory supervisor, you will collect blood samples, correctly identify patients, transport specimens, and perform related clerical and computer duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples, identify patients, and transport specimens.
• Register, order, collect, label, process, and distribute specimens for testing; data entry.
