ADULT ED - Richmond Technical Center is seeking a part-time Career and Technical Instructor in Pharmacy Tech with immediate start. Classes run 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., and the instructor will manage curriculum, student records and job placement guidance.

The ideal candidate holds Pharmacy Technician certification, OSHA knowledge, and strong communication and organizational skills. Five years in the field is preferred; applicants must be adaptable to diverse adult learners.

Qualifications

• Must possess required certification or license and skill in Pharmacy Technician.
• Five years of experience in the field is preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and teaching techniques for adult learners.
• Ability to maintain and establish work schedule for evening/night courses.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Some computer skills with Word, Internet and Intranet access are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares student semester reports and maintains student daily records.
• Provides academic advising and job placement assistance.
• Instructs students on applying knowledge to real-life situations.
• Motivates students by addressing diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
• Participates in orientation, registration and assessment processes.
• Completes annual professional development requirements and participates in meetings.
