Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County in Mukwonago, WI is seeking a part-time Personal Trainer to develop private and small group programs, ensure client safety, and help members reach their fitness goals. Under the supervision of the Fitness and Wellness Director, you will conduct sessions, track progress, promote programs, and reflect the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Excellent communication and a current nationally accredited Personal Training certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A degree in kinesiology, exercise science, health and human performance, exercise physiology, or related field is preferred
• A current nationally accredited Personal Training certification is required upon hire
• A current CPR/AED certification is required
• Excellent communication and people skills

Responsibilities

• Creates a welcoming atmosphere for members and supports personal training enrollments
• Instructs members on safe exercise techniques and progressive workouts
• Provides encouragement to help clients reach health goals
• Schedules and conducts training sessions
• Maintains health history questionnaires and fitness assessments
• Promotes personal training programs to achieve revenue and session goals
• Communicates effectively with supervisors and co-workers
• Demonstrates ability to work with all ages and fitness levels
• Follows YMCA policies and safety procedures
