Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Perioperative Services Practice Assistant to support the OR through coordinated patient flow and administrative tasks.

This 40-hour evening position operates 2pm–10:30pm, Monday through Friday, with holidays, in Boston, MA, within Mass General Brigham. You will greet patients, enter data in Epic, coordinate schedules, and liaise with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient journeys from admission to discharge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, partial college preferred.
• Customer service and secretarial experience in a hospital setting.
• Bilingual desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect admission information upon arrival.
• Enter patient data into EPIC accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate patient bed assignments and flow through the unit.
• Communicate with nurses and physicians regarding patient status and needs.
• Update family as to patient status, changes and discharge plans.
• Assist with scheduling and transportation of patients.
