RWJBarnabas Health's Rahway hospital seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care in the Critical Care department. You will contribute to patient comfort, monitor vital signs, assist with daily activities, and work closely with RNs and therapists to ensure safe, compassionate care during night shifts.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, current BLS certification, and 1–2 years of CNA or related acute-care experience.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• 1–2 years of CNA, Patient Care Technician, CMA, or nursing student experience with GPA 3.0+ and clinical exposure.

Aufgaben

• Monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure).
• Perform EKGs.
• Draw labs and collect specimens.
• Provide therapeutic groups and activities to patients.
• Assist in nonviolent crisis intervention.
• Support patient- and family-centered care with RN guidance.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatments.
• Prepare patient environment for admission or transfer.
• Greet and orient newly admitted patients and families.
• Ensure patients wear correct identification bands.
• Assist with meals and report intake to RN.
