Job summary

Southeast Health is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic CT scans while prioritizing patient comfort and safety. You will prepare patients, operate CT equipment, administer contrast, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver timely results.

The ideal candidate has ARRT or NMTCB CT registration, BLS/ACLS, and 3+ years of CT experience, with strong knowledge of PACS/EMR systems and radiation safety protocols in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a diagnostic imaging program approved by ARRT or NMTCB.
  • Registered in one of the primary technologist pathways by ARRT or NMTCB within 12 months of hire.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of CT experience required.
  • Active ARRT or NMTCB registry with continuing education compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety before scanning.
  • Position patients to optimize imaging and minimize radiation exposure.
  • Operate CT scanners and capture diagnostic images.
  • Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Review images for diagnostic quality and document findings.
  • Maintain ALARA radiation safety practices.
  • Document procedures accurately in the medical record system.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team.
  • Respond to emergencies during scans.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality control checks.
