Job summary

Walker Therapeutic & Educational Programs in Needham, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide routine and emergency medical care across residential, CBAT, group home, and school programs. New grads are welcome to apply and will be supported by an experienced nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered MA nursing license.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine medical care to students.
• Provide emergency care to students if necessary.
• Administer medications to students at various times throughout the shift.
• Maintain medical records.
• Provide ongoing consultation to staff and attend required meetings.
• Ensure that first aid supplies are available in all necessary locations.
• Track and schedule medical, dental and lab appointments.
• Provide in-service training to staff.
• Communicate with parents/guardians/collaterals as needed.
• Support Nursing internships.
• Attend multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
• Serve as on-call nurse for after-hours phone triage, as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.
