Job summary

Walker Therapeutic & Educational Programs inNeedham, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver routine medical care and respond to emergencies across residential, CBAT, group home, and school programs.

The role requires MA licensure, a BSN or equivalent, and 1–2 years’ experience with emotionally challenged children. Training in TCI, First Aid/CPR, and MAP certification is required, with EHR systems proficiency and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered MA nursing license.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience with emotionally challenged/developmentally delayed children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine medical care to students.
• Provide emergency care to students as needed.
• Administer medications to students per schedule.
• Maintain medical records and documentation.
• Provide ongoing consultation to staff and attend required meetings.
• Ensure first aid supplies are available in all locations.
• Schedule and track medical, dental, and lab appointments.
• Provide in-service training to staff.
• Communicate with parents/guardians as needed.
• Support Nursing internships and attend MDT meetings.
• Serve as on-call nurse for after-hours triage.
