Job summary

Virtua Health in Marlton, NJ, seeks a per diem part-time Patient Transporter to support departments by moving patients using wheelchairs or stretchers. The role requires attention to safety, patient comfort, and timely communication with nurses and diagnostics teams.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a positive demeanor and have strong verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to handle potentially stressful situations and multi-task.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from departments/units. Include patient identification, comfort and safety, and provide patient information.
• Care for and clean wheelchairs/stretchers and initiate repairs when needed (check oxygen supplies, replenish regulators).
• Coordinate with other transporters based on schedules and communicate patient information to nurses and testing departments.
