Genesis HealthCare System is seeking a Transport Technician for the Evening Shift to move patients, charts, specimens, and equipment across the facility. You will assist with telemetry, monitor heart rhythms, and communicate findings to nurses.

The role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and teamwork in a dynamic hospital environment. Responsibilities include handling paperwork, performing materials management tasks, and using the EMR system to document transports.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete Genesis Basic Cardiac Rhythm Analysis course within 60 days of hire.
• Read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsabilités

• Transports patients between ER, nursing units, diagnostic areas, doctors' suites, morgue, and other hospital areas.
• Transports blood and specimens on STAT and routine basis.
• Transports patients on portable telemetry equipment and monitors heart rhythms.
• Analyze telemetry readings and communicate findings to nursing staff.
• Utilize Vocera and other communication tools for assignments and updates.
• Clean and disinfect carts, stretchers, wheelchairs, and related equipment.
• Deliver patient equipment, beds, supplies, and exchange gas tanks.
• Prepare and file paperwork; assist with materials management as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality according to policy.
• Enter patient transport information into the Electronic Medical Record system.
