Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System is seeking a Clinical Technician for the Emergency Department night shift. You will administer direct and indirect patient care under RN direction, perform venipuncture and IV therapy, and support patient transport and room turnover.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required or obtained within one year of hire date.
• BCRA certification within 12 months of hire date, if classes available.
• EMT-P certification required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form and observe/assess others.

Responsibilities

• Administer direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform venipuncture and IV therapy as ordered and document in the database.
• Record measurements accurately and collaborate with the care team.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and interpret cardiac rhythms with documentation.
• Assist with patient transfers, transport to testing, and room preparation.
• Maintain supply rooms and assist with post-discharge room turnover.
