Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois is seeking a part-time dietary assistant in the Food and Nutrition department. The role involves assembling patient trays, delivering meals, and assisting patients with nourishment and tray setup in a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will have basic computer skills, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work 25 hours per week from 3:30PM to 9:00PM. Training is provided; benefits are available per hospital policy.

Responsibilities

• Assemble patient trays according to menu selections and diet orders.
• Deliver meal carts to nursing areas within designated timeframes.
• Assist patients with opening containers and utensils while maintaining a caring attitude.
• Ensure dietary restrictions and allergies are observed and communicated to kitchen staff.
• Maintain tray-line and dining area cleanliness and professional appearance.
• Participate in QA/CQI documentation and reporting as required.
