Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a part-time cook to prepare meals for patients, staff and guests in a hospital setting. You will follow standardized recipes, ensure food safety, and support meal service across patient care areas.

The role emphasizes proper cooking techniques, accuracy in portioning, and collaboration with dietitians and dietary staff to meet patient dietary needs. 20 hours per two-week pay period; evenings and every other weekend with potential shifts for weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate's or vocational degree in the culinary field.
• 0–2 years of food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food in a timely, appealing and appetizing manner.
• Uses proper cooking methods and standardized recipes for patients, staff and functions.
• Ensures food safety through proper cooling, reheating and temperature checks.
• Maintains stock and assists with menu development.
