Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals seeks an individual to provide direct patient meal service, including in-person or via the hospitality center system. You will deliver meals, manage trays, and ensure adherence to dietary restrictions and allergies, while maintaining nutrition center cleanliness and patient safety.

Experience with EPIC and VST, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a hospital environment are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Must have a valid Food Service Worker Permit (FSWP) from MCHD prior to starting or obtain a temporary permit by the first Wednesday of employment and a permanent permit within 1 month.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient meal service and obtain meal selections.
• Deliver meals and retrieve meal trays.
• Follow diet restrictions and allergies in meal preparation and service.
• Utilize EPIC and VST for patient information and menu requests.
• Maintain cleanliness of nutrition centers and ensure sanitation standards.
• Communicate with nursing and kitchen staff to meet patient needs.
• Meet deadlines for menus and tray delivery.
• Assist with room service and tray assembly as needed.
