Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital seeks a Nursing Assistant to join the interdisciplinary team for a 32-hour evening schedule. You will assist with patient care duties, vital signs, mobility support, and daily activities under RN direction.

Onsite location at 2014 Washington Street, Newton, MA, you will collaborate with nursing staff to maintain safe, compassionate care while meeting hospital standards and patient needs in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Experience: Healthcare experience 1-2 years required
• Licenses: BLS Certification and related licenses preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and transfer patients safely

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care duties and document vitals, EKGs, and other clinical tasks.
• Assist with patient meals and mobility, and support RN and physicians.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked, clean, and prepared.
• Document patient information and healthcare data accurately.
• Communicate with nursing staff effectively and direct visitors as needed.
• Handle equipment setup, transport, and report malfunctions.
