Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with activities of daily living and basic care needs at our hospital in Boston. Under the direction of licensed personnel, you will assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and monitoring essential vitals, while ensuring compassionate patient-centered service.

You will document data in the electronic medical record, report concerns to nurses, and help with turning, repositioning, and mobility support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• Nursing Assistant experience 0-1 year preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and assist with patient mobility.
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy.
• Completes documentation in the medical record.
• Interacts with patients and families effectively.
• Helps with bathing, dressing, and basic hygiene tasks.
• Assists with turning, repositioning, and bed-to-wheelchair transfers.
• Reports health concerns to nurses and follows care plans.
