Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is seeking a Patient Account Registrar to interview patients, collect demographics, verify insurance details, and secure authorizations as part of admissions. You will collaborate with PBX and reception and input data into hospital systems.

The role requires strong communication, ability to multi-task, and knowledge of medical terminology, with a pay rate of $20.00–$23.75 per hour and an evening shift.

• Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Mansioni

• Interview the patient or representative to obtain demographics.
• Secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable.
• Work closely with the Admitting department including PBX operator function and reception areas.
• Operate a computer to input and retrieve data.
• Communicate with the population served using age-appropriate techniques.
