Job summary

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in King of Prussia is seeking a Patient Services Representative to greet patients, collect demographics and insurance information, and manage payments while ensuring accurate daily reconciliation and HIPAA compliance.

You will perform EPIC tasks, manage appointments, and handle calls with care, triage to clinicians as needed, and support billing and referrals. Full- and part-time roles with varied shifts are available near Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming, prompt and respectful customer service including scheduling appointments and informing delays.
• Perform EPIC functions such as check in, check out, enter demographic and insurance information and run daily eligibility verifications.
• Reconcile daily services and collect payments, reimbursements; obtain insurance referrals and authorizations as needed.
• Answer phones promptly, verify and document contact information; communicate courteously to callers.
• Triages calls and directs to nurse or appropriate queue; assists in distribution to on-call providers.
• Maintain patient records and provider templates; follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in team huddles and meetings.
• Rotate shifts if 24/7 coverage is required.
