Job summary

Children's Health in Plano, TX seeks a Patient Access Specialist to handle routine patient access activities for ancillary, diagnostic, surgical and emergency services, facilitating efficient operations, expeditious reimbursement and optimal customer satisfaction.

You will perform registration, insurance verification, patient portion calculation and payments, and ensure compliance with policies and third-party contracts as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year healthcare, Patient Access operations activities or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients, verifies demographics, processes point of service payments, obtains consent signatures, documents per protocol.
• Performs eligibility checks, insurance verification, patient portion calculation and authorization checks.
• Resolves routine patient issues and answers questions on reimbursement.
• Demonstrates the Children's Health System Vision, Mission and The Children's Way Values.
• Complies with performance standards, guidelines, regulations, policies and third party contracts.
