Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the 2100 Inpatient Unit, focusing on Orthopedic, Spine, Urological and Plastics post-surgical care. You will work three 8-hour evening shifts weekly with every fourth weekend and holiday rotation as required, in a supportive, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensed required.
• 1 year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care per nursing standards, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Educates patients and families on illness, home care needs and medications.
• Promotes patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements and documents individualized plans of care with the interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Proactively communicates the plan of care across the continuum.
