Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses to join a learning-oriented team on the Med/Surg 2 unit. This 2100 inpatient unit handles Orthopedic, Spine, Urological and Plastic Surgery post-ops, with a focus on safe, high-quality patient care and post-discharge planning.

Responsibilities include direct nursing care, patient and family education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma/associate's required or higher.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for advancement.
• RN licensure required.
• Experience in med/surg or similar unit is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Educate patients and families on post-treatment home care and medications.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to develop and communicate care plans.
