Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Background check—no criminal convictions
• Previous commercial laboratory or food service prep experience is preferred but not required
• Completed courses in microbiology, biological science, food science, or chemistry and/or Food Handler Certification is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Preparation of samples for analysis by weighing, homogenizing, and diluting as required.
• Perform basic housekeeping functions and maintain a clean, organized and sanitary laboratory workspace.
• Operate basic laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
• Document work accurately and notify supervisors of any sample issues, equipment concerns, or inventory shortages.
