Job summary

The City of Visalia is hiring a Park Ranger to protect and maintain city parks, trails, and recreation facilities. You will enforce local ordinances and state laws, and perform related duties under supervision of the Parks Maintenance Supervisor.

This role requires regular evening and weekend work, including closing Riverway Sports Park facilities. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, able to maintain records, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of enforcing park ordinances and regulations.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare clear reports.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, including closures at Riverway Sports Park.
• Experience using office equipment and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Patrol city parks, trails and recreation facilities and enforce applicable ordinances, codes, and laws.
• Perform evening facility closures and monitor activities for rule compliance.
• Adapt work schedule based on park activities, events, and seasonal needs.

Education

Two (2) years of experience in parks operations, security operations, law enforcement or related field
