Job summary

City of Kingman is seeking a Part-Time Park Ranger to enforce park rules and assist patrons in City parks and recreation facilities. The role involves supervising events, observing activities, and coordinating with police as needed, while delivering courteous information and safety reminders.

Responsibilities include assisting with Recreation programs, opening/closing facilities, performing light maintenance, and documenting incidents.

Qualifications

• Some public contact experience and completion of high school or GED, OR
• Any combination of education, experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Responsibilities

• Assists park patrons by providing information, direction and education.
• Assists with recreation programs: setting up and taking down equipment.
• Monitors activities for safety, reports unsafe conditions and notifies police when needed.
• May drive to park facilities or use a golf cart to observe activities.
• Inspects facilities for unsafe conditions and corrects them.
• Enforces park rules during events and guides patrons.
• Opens and closes fields, courts, and buildings per reservations.
• Maintains restrooms and facilities.
• Completes accident and related reports.
• Performs custodial duties and cleans premises.
