Job summary

Yarde Metals, Inc. is seeking a Wrapper to join our Southington, CT operations. The role involves building boxes, crates, skids and pallets for shipping finished products, with a 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM shift at 45 Newell Street, Southington, CT.

You will measure materials, use banding and nail guns, and operate forklifts and overhead cranes while following safety protocols and ensuring accurate order staging in shipping zones. The job requires reading English and willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions.
• History of working safely and productively.
• Forklift operation experience strongly preferred.
• Basic math skills to convert decimals and read tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Safety first and operate heavy machinery with care.
• Inspect material for damage before packaging.
• Select packaging materials to protect items in transit.
• Construct skids, boxes, crates, and pallets.
• Measure materials with tape measure and calipers.
• Operate banding and nail guns.
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Scan and stage orders in shipping zones.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as directed.
