Yarde Metals, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler for sheet production in Southington, CT.

The role involves moving material through the warehouse using a forklift, side loader, and overhead crane, selecting material according to work order instructions and staging finished pieces for further processing. This safety sensitive position requires the ability to read and understand English, basic math skills, dependability, and forklift experience.

Qualifications

• This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position requiring heavy machinery operation.
• Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, and physical.
• Lift up to 70 lbs and meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes to move material.
• Organize pull tickets and retrieve material from inventory racking.
• Record and report inventory discrepancies and ensure accurate material location.
• Deliver material to designated saw locations and stage orders for shipping.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as directed by supervisor.
