Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. in Murray, UT is seeking a Pre-Operative Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive pre-op nursing care in an ambulatory surgical setting, following physician orders and center policies.

The role requires a nursing degree, active RN license, and current BLS/PALS/ACLS; you will assess patients, administer meds, prepare charts, obtain informed consent, and support the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current RN license.
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop and implement total nursing care for the pre-operative patient.
• Record and report symptoms, reactions, abnormalities and changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments ordered by the physician.
• Care and discharge pre-operative patients according to facility policies.
• Review the pre-operative patient’s chart for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure informed consent is completed accurately and matches the physician’s orders and OR schedule.
• Prepare pre-operative labs and workups and report abnormalities to anesthesiologist/surgeon.
