Job summary
TOSH Surgery Center in Murray, UT is seeking an Evening/Overnight On-Call Registered Nurse for the SDS/PACU ambulatory surgical center. The role focuses on pre-operative nursing care, medication administration, chart reviews, and coordination with anesthesia and surgeons.
On-site, part-time, with emergency coverage and weekend hours as needed. Qualifications include RN license, accredited nursing education, and BLS/PALS/ACLS certifications.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse License.
- Current American Heart Association BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Responsibilities
- Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in an ambulatory surgical setting.
- Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician’s orders and center’s policies.
- Answers to supervisory guidance from Clinical Services.
- Administers medications and treatments ordered by the physician.
- Cares for and discharges pre-operative patients according to facility policies.
- Reviews pre-operative charts for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensures informed consent is completed and matches orders and OR schedule.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
