Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Cuba, MO is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to provide safe medication administration and compassionate daily care to residents. This full-time role supports residents’ health and quality of life in a home-like environment.

The CMA will work with nursing and caregiving staff to ensure safety, accurate documentation, and person-centered care, while promoting a respectful, supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a CMA program that meets state requirements.
• Active CMA certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses and report adverse reactions or concerns promptly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, intake, and output as ordered.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
• Support team members by providing assistance as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with tours as requested.
