Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Jefferson City, MO is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to provide safe medication administration and compassionate daily care to residents. Shift coverage includes days and nights; employment types include full-time and part-time.

You will work under licensed staff, ensuring correct dosing and attentive monitoring, while maintaining dignity and a home-like environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of CMA program that meets state requirements.
• Active CMA certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses and report adverse reactions or concerns promptly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, intake, and output as ordered.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
• Support team members by providing assistance as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with tours as requested
