Americare Senior Living in Sikeston, MO, seeks a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support memory care residents with safe medication administration and daily living activities in a home‑like setting.

Working under licensed nurses, you promote comfort, dignity, and consistency of care, while following state regulations and Americare policies; CMA certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program that meets state requirements.
• Active certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses and promptly report adverse reactions or concerns.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, intake, and output as ordered.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
• Support coworkers by providing assistance as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with tours as requested.
