Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an OR support professional for per diem evening shifts. Under the supervision of the Charge RN, you will assist with perioperative tasks, room setup, and equipment handling, ensuring patient safety and infection prevention.

Responsibilities include transferring patients, maintaining stock, preparing skin prep, transporting specimens, and supporting the surgical team. Requires high school diploma; influenza vaccination is required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transfer and positioning of surgical patients.
• Clean and restock operating rooms and equipment between cases.
• Prepare skin (clipping) for surgery and assist in spinal anesthesia as needed.
• Transport specimens and supplies; deliver blood products as required.
• Maintain supplies and equipment and report issues to Charge RN.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and adhere to safety standards.
