Beth Israel Lahey Health in Burlington, VT is seeking a part-time perioperative support teammate. Working 24 hours per week with weekend overnight shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, you will assist in OR set-up, manage supplies, and transport patients and equipment under the supervision of the Charge RN.

The role emphasizes infection control, room turnover, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and efficient case flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
• Ability to function autonomously and follow organizational standards.

Responsabilités

• Assist transfer and positioning of surgical patients.
• Clean and restock operating rooms and equipment between cases.
• Perform surgical skin preparation as needed.
• Assist in holding patients for spinal anesthesia.
• Transport specimens to laboratories per policy.
• Deliver blood products to the surgical suite and report returns.
• Assist surgical team with room setup.
• Obtain special equipment as needed for procedures.
• Use equipment safely and report issues to Charge RN.
• Maintain infection prevention and cleanliness in ORs.
• Dispose of hazardous waste properly.
• Maintain supplies for day-to-day operations.
• Follow LHMC guiding principles and performance goals.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement.
