Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an OR RN for RWJ Somerset in Somerville, NJ. The role focuses on perioperative patient care, preparing the OR, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and efficiency. Evening shift, full-time, with a competitive hourly pay range.
Active RN license with BLS is required; ASN degree accepted. Prior OR experience or perioperative training is a plus, while BSN and CNOR are preferred to support advanced perioperative practice.
Qualifications
- Active RN license and BLS certification required.
- ASN degree required at minimum.
- Prior OR experience or perioperative 101 course preferred.
- BSN and CNOR certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative patient care during the entire surgical process.
- Prepare the operating room and handle surgical equipment.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and infection control.
- Scrub and circulate in various OR specialty areas.
- Support multidisciplinary care team in perioperative care.
