RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room in Jersey City. This part-time night shift role combines skilled perioperative care with collaboration across the care team.

The ideal candidate holds a NJ RN license, BLS certification, and 2–3 years OR experience, with CNOR preferred and BSN in progress. EPIC proficiency is expected and weekend/on-call duties apply. Competitive benefits offered.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• The OR Nursing team works cooperatively with the multidisciplinary care team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the perioperative setting and participates in shared clinical decision-making, inspirational leadership, supportive colleagues, and much more,
• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification and CNOR certification preferred. A bachelor's degree in nursing is required or actively enrolled in a BSN program with expected completion date. Two-Three years of experience as an Operating Room RN experience. Comfortable with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. Part-Time Monday - Friday 4p-12a. Must be able to work every other weekend Rotation and on-call required. Allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
